Detection of Alzheimer's Disease using Deep learning
A published review paper on machine learning algorithm predicting outcomes using clinical data and brain MRI images.
As a part of my undergraduate final year project, I worked to create an algorithm that takes inputs from a patient's clinical data (age, sex, etc.) and their MRI brain scans to determine if the patient has Alzheimer's Disease. This algorithm made use of both machine learning and deep learning pipelines. The machine learning pipeline dealt with the clinical data while the deep learning pipeline dealt with the MRI image data. A comparison algorithm took inputs from both the pipelines to determine the patients condition.
I also co-authored a literature review paper in comparing different methods of data analysis as part of a background review for my project.
